Breath on a Cloud

This is a collaborative project, an inflatable meditation cushion designed to help users practice mindful breathing. The system gently expands and contracts to simulate natural breathing rhythms, while force sensors, LED lights, and vibration feedback create a calming, multi-sensory experience powered by Arduino.

Yuxin led the user research, storyboard design, Arduino prototyping, and final user testing, translating user insights into interaction concepts and iterating on the prototype based on user feedback. The project explored how tangible interaction and multi-sensory feedback could support breath awareness and make meditation more intuitive for beginners.

This work is on display at the Pingshan Art Museum in Shenzhen as part of the exhibition Digital Aquarium.

Created by Yuxin from concept to prototype and final implementation in Unity, this projection uses flowing water and crystallizing snowflakes to explore the passage of time. Inspired by Bergson’s philosophy, the work approaches time not as a sequence of static moments, but as an indivisible, living experience—one that unfolds continuously through both nature and perception.

Healing Wings Sweater Patch

Designed and developed independently by Yuxin from concept to fabrication, this smart wearable device combines custom 3D-printed components with Arduino-based sensors to create a body-responsive interactive experience. Worn on clothing, the device translates sensor input into different levels of light, providing visual feedback that encourages users to become more aware of and regulate their emotional state.
